Singing in the New Year

Oh, you’re here! Ah… Wait a minute, let us catch our breath. Phew. Okay, okay. We’re ready. What? How have we been? Well, awesome, in a word. Yes, awesome. November and December of 2013 were just silly they were so great. The Wizards were so busy, we must have broken the sound barrier, a few times over. We played 10 gigs in those final weeks, from small house parties to large conventions, singing dozens of timeless songs,  entertaining hundreds of people, and enjoying the holiday season like never before. We finished the year feeling and sounding great and having a blast.

Memorable gigs included: the annual Fruehaufs Holiday kick-off Party (at their patio furniture store in Boulder) in early November, where the atmosphere was festive, the crowd buzzin’, the food and drinks delicious, and the harmony flowed like champagne; The Denver Zoo Lights Celebration, where we entertained hundreds of CU Alums and their families with hipped up seasonal songs; The Boulder Creek Winery, where their tasty new reds and whites almost eclipsed our vintage bluesy tunes; Fairview High School, where we shared an evening with Ron Revier’s classy community chorale, Generations; and SkyLite Station in Denver (the cool Arts hang-out at 910 SantaFe Drive) where we double billed with Yale’s Mixed Company, an infectious group of talented young singers.

We hope you heard us at one of these venues, and will come hear us again soon at one of our upcoming gigs! Check in from time to time, as we add gigs regularly, sometimes on short notice. Keep singing, and Happy New Year!
