A new CD, extra concerts, and Spring Sing in Boulder will make 2014-2015 a big season for the Wizards

Hello friends,

2014-2015 will be a great season for the Wizards. Like most years, we’ll be busy rehearsing weekly and performing concerts regularly, plus arranging and learning new songs to keep our repertoire fresh and our audiences surprised. But this fall, we’re piling on more fun. Peter Zagone, one of our stellar new 1st tenors, will be engineering our new CD. New favorites like Silver Thunderbird (featuring Michael Duran), I’ll Be There (with Doug Haley), Sleeping to Dream (Peter Zagone), Bop Till You Drop (Sam Stott) and Midnight Train to Georgia (John Farmer) will all be on the recording, plus many others.

On top of that, we expect a busier performance schedule than ever, as we start adding corporate gigs.  What all this means is, if you are planning a party anytime this fall, winter or spring and would like us to perform, please call now to book us. As fall rolls on, our calendar will fill up!

And that’s just the beginning. Our Spring Sing Planning Committee, led by Alan Welty, hasn’t really had a summer break this past year. They’ve been busy planning Spring Sing 2015, which we host in Boulder in May 2015. Spring Sing is a weekend event every year in early May in which 10-12 a cappella groups from all over the country gather (at a different city every year) for a weekend of new music, concerts, friendship and parties. It’s been happening for over 50 years! Many groups, like the Wizards, have been participating for decades, so the music is great, friendships run deep and the parties are wild! 2015 is our turn to host. Naturally, we are planning a fantastic weekend, and you are welcome to be part of it. Mark your calendars now for a day filled with great a cappella music in Boulder on May 2, 2015. It will be great!

As our public gig schedule takes shape, we’ll post them here and on our Facebook page, so revisit us here from time to time to get the latest updates. We look forward to singing for you this year!
